Maps 44, Blocks 45, 46 and 58 through 84, Map 51, Block 3 and Map 52, Blocks 40 through 60, said portion being shown generally on a plan entitled "Plan of Land in Mashpee, Massachusetts, Prepared for Mashpee Water District" dated January 28, 1998 by Eagle Surveying, Inc., a copy of which is on file in the office of the Town Clerk; and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to execute a deed or lease therefor on such terms as they shall deem proper, and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to petition the General Court for special legislation authorizing such sale or lease; and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to enter into any agreements and execute any and all instruments as may be necessary on behalf of the Town to effectuate such conveyance, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen Explanation: This article authorizes the Board of Selectmen to transfer a parcel of land from the `Belcher Property", so-called, to the Water District for water supply purposes. Motion made by Selectman Leveille. Motion: I move the Town vote to transfer to the Board of Selectmen, for the purpose of sale or lease to the Mashpee Water District, the custody and control of a portion of the Town-owned land known as the "Belcher" property and shown on Mashpee Assessors' Maps 44, Blocks 45, 46 and 58 through 84, Map 51, Block 3 and Map 52, Blocks 40 through 60, said portion being shown generally on a plan entitled "Plan of Land in Mashpee, Massachusetts, Prepared for Mashpee Water District" dated January 28, 1998 by Eagle Surveying, Inc., a copy of which is on file in the office of the Town Clerk; and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to execute a deed or lease therefor on such terms as they shall deem proper, and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to petition the General Court for special legislation authorizing such sale or lease; and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to enter into any agreements and execute any and all instruments as may be necessary on behalf of the Town to effectuate such conveyance. Motion passes unanimously at 9:09 p.m. Article 18 To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to transfer by sale or lease, a two acre, more or less, portion of that Town-owned land shown on the 1997 Mashpee Assessors' Maps as Map 81, Blocks 18 and 21, approximately as shown on a plan entitled "Proposed Land Transfer to Mashpee Water District 5-98" which is on file in the office of the Town Clerk, to the Mashpee Water District and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to execute a deed or lease therefor on such terms as they shall deem proper said transfer of land to be contingent upon funding by the Water District for the construction of a Water District office facility on the site; and further, vote that such land shall not be held by the Town as conservation land pursuant to the provisions of Section 5-27 of the Town By-Laws; and further, vote to authorize the Board of
