In pursuing this task, it has become apparent to the
Committee that there are a number of areas of the town that should be considered for
inclusion in a historic district or districts to fully represent the history of the town in a
coherent fashion. This article would formally expand the scope of the Committee's
task to an investigation and report on all parts of the town.
Motion made by Selectman Blythe.
Motion: I move the Town vote to authorize and empower the Historic District Study
Committee established under Article 12 of the October 6, 1997 Annual Town Meeting,
to make an investigation and report to the Town its recommendations regarding
proposed historic districts throughout the town, as well as in the traditional Mashpee
Village Center.
Motion passes unanimously at 9:28 p.m.
Article 21
To see if the Town will vote to approve the Cape Light Compact Energy Efficiency
Plan and the Compact's submission of the Energy Efficiency Plan on the Town's behalf
to the Department of Telecommunications and Energy, and to authorize the Selectmen
to approve such amendments or revisions to said Energy Plan as they may deem
necessary or advisable, or take any other action relating thereto.
Submitted by the Board of Selectmen
