Minutes of Meeting of
Design Review Committee
Tuesday, March 16, 2021
Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room
Also present were the principals of Cape Cod Gutter Moneys, Dan O'Jala, with Down
Cape Engineering, and Joel Junqueira, with Capewide Construction,
Attorney Kirrane mentioned that the original project was approved by the Board for
contractor bays. The Gutter Monkeys will be utilizing the bays as storage and office
space. The floor plans, site plans and color of the Morton type building were provided
and there is only one building being proposed as part of the development plan. This
is the first building located in the industrial zoned area.
Jonathan wanted to confirm that the upper walls will be ivory color, and the roof and
wainscot will be charcoal.
Dan O'Jala explained that there will be plenty of shrubs planted near the entrance,
but they eliminated the need for trees in the rear because there is already enough
natural buffer towards the back of the building. There will be a nice lawn with
irrigation wells. This building is on the same side as the coffee building, and there is
plenty of greenery in between the two buildings. There will be 24 parking spaces
provided. There will be no fencing just natural buffering. There will be two dumpsters
and will there will be a stockade fence around them. The roof of the building will have
gutters, downspouts and dry wells will be installed. The lighting will be the same as
the other building as required by the Cape Cod Commission.
Miles mentioned that it would be nice to provide a 4 ft. buffer between the sidewalk
and the parking area to break up the long continuous facade of the building on the
parking lot side. He also suggested a cover of the door located on the east elevation
side of the building.
Dave thought that moving the parking area back 3 to 4 ft. and adding plantings would
make that area look nicer.
Dan wanted to keep the same landscaping that was already approved. He said that
there are plenty of shrubs in the front, and the employee parking will be in the front
and blocking the area anyway.
There was no more discussion.
Jonathan made a motion to accept the project as presented for 20 Evergreen Circle.
Joe seconded, yes, Miles, no, Jonathan, yes, and Dave, yes.
3
