We need to be extra vigilant with things like erosion control here, might
need someone there as a requirement to monitor the situation above and beyond what we
can do.
Mr. Sweet motioned to close and issue with the condition of an independent monitor
observing the excavation portion of the project.
Mr. Dalton seconded the motion.
Vote: 6-0-0
Roll Call Vote:
Mr. Smith; yes
Mr. Sweet; yes
Mr. Colombo; yes
Mr. O'Neill; yes
Mr. Dalton; yes
Ms. Zollo; yes
In favor, 6; Opposed, 0; Abstentions, 0
6:18 Mashpee Commons, LP, 476 & 483 Falmouth Road and 0 & 299 River Road. Proposed NOI
repair of failed earthen dam at end of Trout Pond. Owners of record: Mashpee Commons
LP and Trustees of Reservations.
Amy Ball and Geoff Glover from Horsley Witten Group, Inc. and Tom Feronti from
Mashpee Commons presented plans.
Agent said he was onsite with Ms. Zollo and Mr. Colombo. He asked about long term
solutions. Amy Ball said the design modifications are intended to be long term, if there
were any other improvements to this area, they would be more aesthetic in nature. Tom
Feronti said the next step is to do an evaluation of the water quality and see how it would fit
in to an overall trail network and walking path system in this part of town. Agent had no
other comments, it's a net environmental benefit. We're still waiting to hear from Natural
Wildlife.
Ms. Cadoret asked if there will be trail access as part of this project? Mr. Feronti said part
of the purpose of this design is that it can be walked over.
Anne Malone from 14 Red Cedar Road asked what the timeline for the project might be.
Tom Feronti said the goal is to get this done as quickly as possible, looking at getting it
done during the dry season, trying for the end of June, beginning of July.
Mr. Sweet motioned to close and issue.
Mr. Dalton seconded the motion.
Vote: 6-0-0
Roll Call Vote:
Mr. Smith; yes
Mr. Sweet; yes
Mr. Colombo; yes
Mr. O'Neill; yes
Mr. Dalton; yes
Ms. Zollo; yes
In favor, 6; Opposed, 0; Abstentions, 0
6:21 Stuart J. & Leslie S.
