They would like to delay referring to the Commission until next meeting. This will provide <br /> adequate time to sufficiently prepare materials to submit to the Commission. <br /> MOTION <br /> Mr. Balzarini made a motion to continue the Public Hearing until August 18,2021 at 7:10p.m. <br /> Seconded by Mr. Phelan. All in favor. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Vote to set public hearing date for an application made by DPF Mashpee LLC to modify an <br /> approved Special Permit dated May 2, 2001 to construct a 4,860 s.f. commercial building for retail <br /> sales in the development known as South Cape Village. <br /> Mr. Lehrer put a draft public hearing notice in the packet. Suggesting Wednesday, September 1, 2021. <br /> Also, meeting times need to be discussed going forward for the Clerk's office. <br /> Mr.Fulone noted due to recent meetings being earlier, is there a preferencefor a later meeting or keeping <br /> them early? <br /> Ms. Waygan and Mr. Balzarini would prefer 7:OOp.m. start time. Ms. Waygan noted it is okay to have <br /> early start times for special projects. <br /> Chairman noted they will return to 7:OOp.m. <br /> MOTION <br /> Mr. Balzarini made a motion to set a public hearing date for September 1, 2021 at 7:10PM for DPF <br /> Mashpee LLC. Seconded by Ms.Waygan. All in favor. <br /> CHAIRMANS REPORT <br /> Miscellaneous updates <br /> Chairman Fulone wanted to clarify the history of Public Comment at Planning Board meetings. Since the <br /> first presentation on June 2nd, this Board has provided opportunity for Public Comment at every meeting <br /> Mashpee Commons has presented at, except the last meeting on July 215t. Prior to June 2nd the Planning <br /> Board had not provided a Public Comment beyond what's required of a public hearing in three years. <br /> That totals 73 meetings without general Public Comment.At the meeting on July 7t" the Board decided <br /> the meeting on the 21st was exclusively an educational presentation regarding broad concepts related to <br /> the overlay district. Consensus was there would be no discussion related to proposed zoning bylaw. To <br /> reiterate, there has been Public Commentat every meeting Mashpee Commonshas presented at, except <br /> the one meeting that was solely for educational purposes. He wants to apologize to those present last <br /> week, regarding the interruptions and the disappointing behavior exhibited last meeting. He is hoping <br /> guidelines will be adhered to going forward. These include speaking within the two minute time frame, <br /> not repeating what has already been said, and stay on the topics being discussed. The Board has been <br /> 2 <br />
