He noted the <br /> collaboration between towns has been outstanding. <br /> Mr. Harrington commented that he found it interesting that, throughout all the emergency <br /> planning in which he has participated, he worried that labor would be the bffi iggest issue. To his <br /> surprise, this experience showed that we have an amazing work force on the Cape, which has <br /> made up somewhat for the fact that adequate vaccine isn't making its way down here. <br /> Chair Baumgaertel stated that he hoped some of the most recent federal recovery bill includes <br /> money for towns and counties to invest in public health, and that Mashpee gets its fair share of <br /> that. He noted that this pandernic has demonstrated that public health is a critical service to <br /> maintain. Mr. Virgilio agreed, stating that public health needs to come first, ahead of <br /> infrastructure projects, or no one will be coming over the bridge to the Cape. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Review and approval of meeting ® The minutes of the March 4, 2021 regular session <br /> meeting were reviewed. <br /> There being no comments or revisions, Ernest Virgilio moved to accept the minutes of the March <br /> 41 2021 regular session meeting. Motion seconded by Brian Baumgaertel. Roll call vote-, Ernest <br /> Virgillo (yes); Brian Baumgaertel (yes). VOTE: Unanimous (2-0). <br /> 2. Review and approval of expense warrants. It was understood that expense warrants would have <br /> to be signed outside of the meeting, due to there being no Board members physically present. <br /> 3. Request to rallise backyard chickens—111 Deerfoot Circle. Mr. Harrington commented that Mr. <br /> Thackston has requested to have backyard chickens, per his email to the Board. His proposal <br /> meets the Board of Health Poultry Regulation. No composting was mentioned but, if that is <br /> requested, the Board will have to approve that at a later date. This request will be considered a <br /> registration of the property to have poultry. <br /> 4, Annual norninatlionof Anilmal Inspectors. Mr.Harrington commented that it is time for the Board <br /> to nominate the animal inspector for the period of May 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022. The nominee <br /> is Donald Chicolne. The FY 2022 budget includes both animal inspector stipends,and Mr.Chicoine <br /> w ill be paid after July 31, 2021.I <br /> There being no further comments or discussion, Ernest Virgilio moved to nominate Donald <br /> Chicoine as Inspector of Animals. Mr. Harrington commented that,where <br /> Kripani has submitted a letter of interest, the Board has to submit their recommendation to the <br /> Board of Selectmen (BOS) so they can vote to appoint at an upcoming meeting. This is a chance <br /> to learn a little about Ms. Patel to determine if she would be a suitable member. <br /> Chair Baumgaertel welcomed Ms. Patel to the meeting and thanked her for her interest in serving <br /> on the Board and Ms. Patel thanked the Board members for their consideration. <br /> 5 <br />
