Williams requesting an <br /> extension of a Written Finding (FINDING-2018-25) under §174-17, and a Variance (V- <br /> 2018-26)under §174-31 of the Zoning Bylaws that was issued in June 2018 for a raze and <br /> replace of a pre-existing, non-conforming dwelling on property located in an R-5 Zoning <br /> District, Map 47 Parcel 25, Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: John F. Dee). <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter <br /> 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on May 28, 2021 and June 4,2021 a copy of which is <br /> attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the provisions of <br /> Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §§6 and 10 of the Town of Mashpee Zoning <br /> By-laws. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday, June <br /> 23, 2021 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and <br /> acting throughout; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Board Members, Scott Goldstein, and <br /> Associate Members Sharon Sangeleer, James Reiffarth, and Charlie Reidy. <br /> Attorney Jeff Johnson represented the petitioner's request for an extension of the Decisions <br /> that were issued by the Board back in 2018.Also present was Petitioner,Jim Williams who <br /> is the cousin of the owner, and soon to be the Trustee of the property. The property was a <br /> tear down and rebuild because a tree went down through the roof. The house was <br /> demolished, and the petitioner is requesting an extension to rebuild. The Attorney said that <br /> his client has done a great deal of cleanup work on the property. <br /> The Board recalled that the house was in disrepair, and the property was overgrown with <br /> tree growth. Also, there is a topographical slope toward the wetlands in the rear of the <br /> property. <br /> 1 <br />
