Article To see if the Town will vote to authorize and instruct the Board of Selectmen to file a Home Rule petition, - called, with the General Court, in . the following form: An act authorizing the Town of lashpee to pay a cent-ain unpaid bill to the County of Barnstable . Being enacted by the Senate and the House of Representatives in General Court Assembly, and by the authority of the same, a follows# Section 1 : Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 44, Section 64t or the provisions of Chapter 59, Section 21c of Massachusetts General Laws, the Town of mashpee is hereby authorized to appropriate money for the payment of, and, after such appropriation, the Treasurer of said town, s authorized to pay the sum of $7, 5 . 5 to the County of Barnstable for expenses incurred in 1974 and 1975 for enmP- gineerng in the redefinition and layout of meetinghouse Road. The County of Barnstable incurred this expense in behalf of the Town of Mashpee when Meetinghouse Road was resurveyed in 1974 and 1975 . Town Counsel feels the Town has no way of paying this bill without Towm meeting and Legislative permission.
