The Finance Committee recommends this Article in the amount of $1 , 97 . The money was provided in reserve in Hour ability to raise' through taxation. The negotiated contract with the DPW unit provides for a four percent cost of living adjustment retroactive to July 1, .1987 and another five percent on July 1, 1988. The contract also reclassifies two posi- tions, Increases the differential for the Police Department mechanic and those employees licensed to apply- pesticides, and increases the minimum coapensaat on when employees are called to work in emer- gencis.
