Aashbee IncCusion and Diversity Committee
16 Great Neck Road North
Aashpee, Aassachusetts o2649
The Woodruff's Art Center is exhibiting some photography, the school store is an option,
and they could work with Mashpee Commons as they have some open space. They are in
communication with Mashpee TV and are meeting with the Library to see what venue is
available there. The Mass Cultural Council is very excited about this.
Ms. Stevenson also wanted to clarify the travel expenses for Ms. Field are included in the
grant. Mr. Kupferman is donating the travel expenses for the initial visit, and Ms. Stevenson
is donating meals and lodging.
At 4:00p.m. this afternoon, Chairwoman and Ms. Field will be meeting with the photography
and art teacher, as well as other members at the school. The application is ready to go, but
it can be tweaked after this discussion if need be. Also, Marie Younger Blackburn who is
well versed in grant writing will be present to assist. This project is planned for the spring.
The decision for the grant funding is made in December. There will be time to look into
other sources should they be needed.
Ms. Johnson-Graham commented the earlier it is submitted the better, then changes can
be made.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Budget Request for 2022
Ms. Stevenson sent an e-mail to Human Resources as well as Mr. Collins, as she was
unaware budgets needed to be submitted. She found out the day the requisitions were due.
Chairwoman started to pursue this and contacted Ms. Landry. She put in for $500.00,
which she understood would be approved. Amity Day happened prior to the money being
accessible to the Committee. She is hoping the $500.00 would be there for future use. Her
understanding was Mr. Collins was going to put it in the Human Resources or Human
Services budget. She checked with both and neither have it, so where is the money?
Mr. Klein asked if the $500.00 gets carried over if it is not spent.
Ms. DeBoer noted the money could not be used this past June, as it initiates in July. That
$500.00 is for FY22, which would be applicable for this year. That money should be
available for this coming year.
Chairwoman will follow up with how to access the funds and obtain funds for future
requisition.
5
