Mr. Storrs reminded the Board.that there has been a plan for the past twenty-years <br /> for four Signals at Route 28 and Route 151 which proposed signals would be timed <br /> together-for metered trams around the Rotary in a manner that would improve the <br /> existing traffic,flow. <br /> Mr. I ascombe stated that the Commission would be investigating the traffic issue <br /> as well to ensure the level of service is not reduced. The traffic study may prove to offer <br /> solutions resulting from any increase of traffic. <br /> Mr. Storrs uggeted that much further discussion is needed with regard to <br /> pedestrian walkways and sidewalks. He also stated that Mass Transit is a massive factor <br /> to the solution to traffic on Cape Cod. Bice paths, racks,-and connections are also to be <br /> taken into consideration and.factored into the plan. <br /> Nor. Storrs suggested the Board investigate the. ncroac ent of the gas station <br /> into the public right of way be investigated; especially in the event the right of war will <br /> need to be expanded. <br /> There was Some discussion regarding the vetatd buffrs, setbacks,'and <br /> screened parking lots-along Route 28 and Great beck Road south. <br /> The Town Planner noted that further discussion regarding the intersection at <br /> I oiina's Lari .-is,required.-in addition to the intersection at Steeple Street. He also asked <br /> about the completion fthe project located on the other side of Route 2 8 at Doa's Lane <br /> beyond the 40B portion of the project; to which Mr. Storrs responded, "I have no plans <br /> for that at the moment". <br /> Mr. Storrs pointed out the benefit of ownership to the developer and.the Town <br /> which provides-control of both sues of the road frontage. <br /> Dennis Balri_ni articulated Board concerns that there very well may be advanced <br /> future tchnoloios and.that by the time this-development begins,it will have-been <br /> rnfatherd to currently existing technologies. <br /> Mr. Storrs responded that the.developer will improve techniques in the areas of <br /> storwater and energy conservation, and that these conditions should be incorporated <br /> into the Development Agreement. <br /> It was agreed that Discussion in this matter would be continued t.o the next <br /> Planning Board Meeting, February 18, 2009 at :00 p.m. <br /> Public Hearing <br /> willowend Country Club, Inc. <br /> Approval of Special Penrnit Modification -Townhouse Condominium. <br /> Addition to the willo b nd,Country Club P rOJ <br /> 'ect <br /> 3 <br />
