However, Forth Market Street, East Steeple Street, and
Trout Pond fall under Cape Cod Commission significant natural resource area.
National Heritage has made a site visit/review of the area and has agreed to
remove East Steeple Street from the priority mapping area. The original communication was wade in the form of an
e-mail.
East Steeple Street Model —Two and three story buildings with terminated vistas.
Commercial Street to onna's Lane is a pinwheel one-way green with an 'exit onto Great
Neck Road South. There is a proposed building for age restricted housing. References
were made to the elevations, o-ft. wide bays, overpacking located beneath the.building.
Residents can publicly walk to Mashpee Commons and South Cape Village; and also
enjoy private courtyard areas 1 -feet above Route 28.
The Town Planner clarified that the bylaw requirement is for 2- . parking bay.
Mr. Storrs indicated that the project would consist of mixed-use, similar to the
core of Mashpee Commons, softening towards the edge. Applicant feels that the best
approach relative to a market and community standpoint is to provide for smaller
increment buildings, smaller footprint commercial mixed-use buildings.
Mr. Storrs stated a hotel use is no longer being proposed due to fma ncin
difficulties. There are plans, for North Market Street for live/work opportunities (boat
repair, carpentry workshop, etc.).
