With regard to l rth Market Street, Mr. wley observed that the v rksh p <br /> spaces have been moved to East Steeple Street. fir. Storrs replied that the workshop <br /> units have been relocated to a portion of ast Steeple Street, being the more.logical <br /> location. <br /> Mr. l wley then asked about the Town Square area and maneuvering traffic t <br /> the Stop.& Shop. He suggested a.ner configuration-be cnsidrd. Mr. Storrs <br /> acknowledged wledged this to be a valid comment and that the design will be nevi wed in order t <br /> slow down the traffic at this area without creating an unsafe-roadway. <br /> Mr. Rowley also commented on the traffic condition off route 28 at Building.424 <br /> lowards the rotary when making a right-in' turn.appear to be forced into the left-hand lane <br /> in order to make-a right-hand turn. He suggested a designation be made to indicate the <br /> right-hand lane;-to which Mr. Storrs-agreed,, stating the travel lanes shown on Route 2 <br /> are conceptual. <br /> With regard to North Market Street the Chairman inquired as to the street <br /> connection at the I .C. Coombs parking lot. There was-some discussion with Mr. Storrs <br /> stating the purpose ofthe road connection. <br /> The Town planer noted however that the Shl Department has:never been in <br /> favor ofsaid connection. Mary a g n expressed her support for-an internal connection. <br /> The Chairman also inquired-as to access of the parking area at the entrance off`of <br /> Route ISI. Mr. Storrs stated there will be,a drive isle that connects across the front ofthe <br /> area to the entrance. <br /> Mary w ygan expressed concern regarding the East Steeple Street detached <br /> -single- amily residential-area withi n-the c mmncrcial area.becoming-,is lated. Mr. Storrs <br /> made reference to the softening from second-story residential t townhouses-and si gle- <br /> farmily residences. He is trying to provide,for the work-at-home situation, as well as the <br /> walk to work situation, which is-the reason some office buildings are.located anm n st <br /> ,and adjacent t -residential components of.se neighborhoods. <br /> The Chairman commented that vegetation/landscape is not shown. ri the concept <br /> plans and that when it-is-shown, this particular corner area will appear to have a better <br /> sense of community. <br /> MIr. Storrs agreed that he will soon be able to provide much more.detailed plans, <br /> as the formal application with the Cape Cod Commission for a Development Agreement <br /> is filed. He informed the Board of a hearing.at the Cape Cod Commission on January 21., <br /> 2010 at 3:00 p.m. that will serge to-finalize the procedural denial without prejudice of the <br /> Development pment lRegional Impact application. <br /> With regard to the natter of pub]ie COM ent, Mr. Storrs reminded the Board that <br /> plans-for Mashpee Commons build-out have.been published in the local newspapers <br />
