Town Road Layout <br /> Review and Recommendations Regarding Torn Road Taking <br /> Articles submitted for May 2007 Annual Town Meeting <br /> Article 17-Tintergreen Road <br /> The Town Planner explained these roads are existing on <br /> the ground and were previously approved by the Planning <br /> Board as subdivision streets, <br /> Wintergreen Drive is a subdivision street approved i <br /> the late 198-0-' s and is locat.ed off Red Brook Road, <br /> construction on the houses and roadways have been <br /> completed. The Town has been petitioned by Seabrook Pines <br /> to take over the roads. <br /> A Planning Board recommendation to Town Meeting i <br /> req -i red. <br /> There was some discussion about assuming the drainage <br /> and walkway easements as well. <br /> A discrepancy was found in that the article describes <br /> the property as Wintergreen Road, and the taking plan <br /> refers to Wintergreen Drive. <br /> The Town Planner volunteered to deck the signed <br /> subdivision plan in an a-ttempt to properly identify the <br /> -name of the roadway. <br /> The Chairman declared a five-minute recess at this <br /> point. The Town of Mashpee lanai-ng Board Meeting was. <br /> reconvened at 8 : 25 p.m. <br /> The Town Planner reported that the Planning Board <br /> approved t-he -subdivision roadway name o-f Wintergreen Road. <br /> He further explained that the Planning Board approves <br /> private roadway names, and that the Board of selectmen have <br /> the authority to change/name Town roadways . <br /> The Town Planner then suggested that this matter be <br /> continued to the May 2, 2007 meeting in order to clarify <br /> the road name. <br /> 7 <br />
