They are seeking a variance on
the side yard in order to build a 22 ` x 40' garage . They are installing a new septic
system and they submit a letter in support of this project from their neighbors the
Kaestners at 112 Quinaquisset Ave. The Board reviews the plans and feel the garage will
be an improvement to neighborhood. The variance requested is 4.7 feet and the proposed
lot coverage will be 13.1 %. James Reiffarth makes a motion to grant the 4.7 variance on
the southwesterly side. Jonathan Forbush seconds the motion. All agree. So moved.
• Reference plans from Cape & Islands Engineering, dated March 26, 2008.
Steven McKee: Requests a Special Permit from Section 174-25 E(13) of the zoning by-laws in
order to maintain a business that consists of masonry products stored inside and outside on
property located in a C-2 zoning district at 440 Nathan Ellis Highway (Map 72 Parcel 87)
Mashpee, MA. Owner of Record: Harbor View Realty
Sitting: Robert Nelson, Jonathan Furbush, Jack Dorsey, James Reiffarth and William
Blaisdell.
Steve McKee represents himself at this hearing. He is requesting a special permit at the
Suggestion of the Building Inspector to be able to use/store masonry products at this site.
It was previously used for selling sheds in the same location but the Building Inspector
felt it was best to have applicant obtain his own special permit for this use of product.
The Board reviews the layout and the comments from the Board of Health that inform
applicant that he may only have one employee per the septic system limitations. Mr.
Furbush would like the height of the product not to exceed 6 feet. Mr. McKee was not
aware of the limit of one employee but will work with the Board of Health on that.
Jonathan Furbush makes a motion to grant the special permit.
