• Zoning Board of Appeals
Minutes
May 16, 2006
Jobs & Whitines Residential Neiehborhoods Affordable & Unit Plans:
It was noted that a letter was remitted to Mr. Storrs from the ZBA stating
that one ZBA member would attend any meetings to assist with issues that
may arise during review of said project.
Mr. Storrs distributed a list of items addressed at the last meeting in a
memorandum dated May 15, 2006. The Jobs Fishing Road profile was
agreed upon as noted; travel lanes 12' wide and parallel parking lanes 8'
wide. To date, the Jobs Fishing roadway is the one roadway within the
neighborhood to have through traffic.
The Affordable Housing Plan as reflected in item no. 3 of the memo was
revised to present clearer and visual color distinctions between the types
of units in the project proposal. To date, the number of affordable units
has not been altered in the plan. However, the plan was amended to
incorporate recommendations made by the church regarding the unit count
in some categories.
The Phasing Plan considered four segments. A spreadsheet will be
presented to the committee that would consist of units by type and
specificity by phase. Also, parking provides for two spaces for every
residential unit with two or more bedrooms and one space for each one
bed or studio apartment.
Included is the request for waivers. It was noted that most of the questions
are related to blanket statements that do not pertain to 40B projects.
The Jobs/Whitings Residential Neighborhoods: Affordable Unit Plan was
distributed and reviewed. A smaller map; phase 1 in draft form was also
disbursed. The issues were opened for discussion purposes.
0
