recommends a condition of weekly monitoring reports during construction due to proximity of <br />work to the coastal bank.. <br />Assistant Agent read Board of Health and Building comments. <br />Mr. Sweet asked if there's a DEP number, Agent said there is. <br />Public comment: <br />Margaret Joyce Cavanaugh, Cavanaugh Family Trust Trustee, represented the Trust, her <br />children, and herself, of 28 Sand Dollar Lane (abutter) wanted to make a public comment. <br />She received the notice 2 days ago and called the Conservation Department. They didn't <br />have time to prepare or extensively look over the plan to try to understand this. They have a <br />number of concerns. It appears to have meaningful change to topography, the house appears <br />to be raised with a retaining wall. Our property already gets flooding. We're concerned with <br />increased elevation (even with dry wells) that we'll see increased damage to our property. <br />What, if any, studies have been completed to see if dry wells are sufficient to protect our <br />property? What remedies are available to us, and to what expense, in terms of damage or <br />flooding to our property? The size of house if increasing. Retaining wall adds another 17-20 <br />feet. That puts over 35 feet. Will this change the viability of the floral and fauna in the area? <br />We're requesting we did not have opportunity with such short notice to assess these <br />substantial changes with our own engineer and site planner. We want to emphasize that we <br />want to be neighborly, but it's our responsibility to ensure the integrity, value, and enjoyment <br />of our home are not jeopardized. We would like our comments read into record. <br />Assistant Agent read the abutter's comments. <br />Ellen and Anthony Hudon from 26 Sand Dollar (abutters) wanted to make a public comment. <br />They have several concerns we posted to the Architectural Review Committee of New <br />Seabury.
