Mashpee Zoning
Board of Appeals Minutes
4 Public Hearing
March 10, 2004
detail. Mr. Rowley believes vast compromises have been made since the beginning of
• this application. The drainage issues are one of the items on for discussion which have
been attached to these minutes for specific reference. The Board discusses with Mr.
Kelley the re-charge area and how, in frozen conditions, the ground could not
accommodate the water if a large rain occurred. There are new leaching facilities to deal
with this water. There have been catch basins added. Drainage run-off is still a problem
as it will run into Route 130. Patrick Costello, new Town Counsel, discusses the fact that
a lot of the specifics can be done at the definitive stages and Mr. Rowley agrees. Mr.
Stephen Hayes, Architect, discusses some of the design of the Commercial aspect of the
building. The Commercial aspect is still being kept separate due to procedural matters at
this time. Mr. McShane discusses closing the hearing at this point. The Board feels they
are still waiting for comments from the Fire Chief and Greg Taylor, DPW on the new
plans submitted. Mr. Teague agrees to meet with DPW and Fire and then we will see
what is still being required from the ZBA. Mr. Brem tells petitioner again that once Mr.
Rowley has his requests accommodated, the end will be in sight. In summary, the road is
• still an issue as well as the fire department. It is agreed a special meeting will be called
for Mr. McShane if necessary so as not to make them wait until April 14`h (the next
available hearing). The Board feels a lot of headway has been made. We still await
counsel's advice on who has jurisdiction over the commercial aspect of the job. We will
await developments on the outcome of a few meetings.
Marshall Brem makes a motion to adjourn. Zella Elizenberry seconds the motion. All
agree. So moved.
Meeting is adjourned at 10:15 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
11- "
Lori Corsi
•
