Mashpee Zoning Minutes—June 26, 2002 8 <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Sitting: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III and Robert G. Nelson. <br /> Mr. David Sanicki of Cape & Islands Engineering represented the Petition and stated that <br /> plans call for a 122-foot pier, ramp and float along the shore of Ockway Bay. Mr. <br /> Guerrera observed that the float size appears to be larger than previous proposals. Mr. <br /> Sanicki stated that the Conservation Commission and Shellfish Constable have allowed <br /> construction of floats the size of 6x25 feet for the past 8 — 10 months. Mr. Sanicki said <br /> that because of the shallow water, the proposal must exceed the 70-foot length limit in <br /> order to access deep water. it j <br /> it <br /> The Conservation Commission and Shellfish Constable have approved the proposal. No Ii <br /> comments were received from abutters. <br /> Mr. Nelson moved to grant a Variance of 52 feet, subject to findings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 <br /> and Cape & Islands Engineering plan entitled `Plan of Proposed Stairway, Pier, Ramp <br /> & Float Located in Mashpee, Mass., Prepared for Zocchi Realty Trust, Date: May 20, <br /> 2002'. Nelson. <br /> Mr. David Sanicki of Cape & Islands Engineering represented the Petition and stated that <br /> the original plans, which the ZBA approved in 1999, have been changed to replace the <br /> proposed garage to a large barn-type structure on the property. Building.Inspector <br /> Richard E. Hawryluck stated that Building Commissioner Wheeler demanded that the <br /> Petitioner return to the ZBA for permission to revise plans to allow for the large barn, j <br /> since the change in plans constitute a structure which would be more detrimental. Mr. <br /> Quigley attended the meeting on behalf of his wife, the Petitioner. He stated that he �I <br /> desires to store boats and other items inside the barn, which would clean up the M <br /> appearance of the yard. Mr. Quigley said that there is no living space planned in the <br /> proposed building. <br /> I <br /> No comments were received from abutters. Mr. Regan expressed surprise that no one <br /> from Monomoscoy Island attended the meeting. Mr. Quigley informed the Board that he <br /> talked with his neighbors concerning the proposal. Mr. Nelson said that he talked with <br /> Mr. Quigley on the subject property earlier in the day, who said that the proposed barn <br /> i <br />
