Design Review asked the petitioner to come before the Board of J ,, <br /> Appeals first to get permission for the sign due to the 20 square foot maximum for signs. <br /> This sign has been up with a temporary approval of the Building Commissioner, but has <br /> been taken down at present. Mr. Brem asks why they feel the need to exceed the 20 <br /> square foot maximum for signs. Mr. Fields informs the Board that quite simply, the sign <br /> cost$1,600.00 and has already been made. It was taken down due to much controversy <br /> from abutters and neighbors. Mr. Regan said that he attended the Design Review <br /> Committee regarding this proposal and said that he cannot live with what is being <br /> presented. He feels there are too many signs on Echo Road at this point and would like <br /> I <br />
