Mr. Regan <br /> stepped down and left the room. °u <br /> Mr. John Slavinsky of Cape & Islands Engineering represented the Petition and <br /> stated that the Special Permit SP-00-29 requested permission to expand a pre-existing, <br /> non-conforming dwelling. After consulting with the Building Department and <br /> researching state building codes,the Petitioner decided to demolish the existing <br /> four-bedroom home and reconstruct a three-bedroom home on the subject property. i <br /> Mr. Slavinsky clarified the plans and stated that the proposed dwelling would be a <br /> two-story home and would meet the requirements of the Popponesset Overlay District. p <br /> anu�b�l�ill"„ <br /> Lot coverage would be reduced from 27.3%to 24%. Mr. Slavinsky confirmed that the <br /> Conservation Commission has approved the project. !� <br /> Ms. Marjorie Katsoulis, who filmed the meeting, asked if the abutters had been notified <br /> of the change in the elevation of the proposed dwelling. Mr. Govoni confirmed that <br /> Notice was given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter <br /> 40A and Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise on September 15 <br /> and September 22, 2000. Ms. Katsoulis repeated herself that the proposed change would <br /> be of interest to the neighbors since the site is "near the water". ; <br /> Mr. Govoni corrected Ms. Katsoulis and said that the subject property is not that close to n, <br /> "water". Ms. Katsoulis was reassured that the Board secretary duly notified abutters. <br /> Mr. Slavinsky clarified that the proposed height of the building at 28 feet is well below <br /> the height restriction in the Popponesset Overlay District. No Variance from the height <br /> restrictions is being requested. <br /> No comments were received from abutters.
