Mashpee Zoning Minutes—October 24, 2001 2 <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Mr. Govoni said that the existing home was built in 1950 and predates adoption of <br /> Zoning By-laws. He said that the Petitioner must submit three copies of an engineered <br /> plan showing that the proposed addition connects to the house. <br /> Mr. Nelson said that the granite stored in the yard is an eyesore. Mr. Hynds said that he <br /> plans to use the granite for a fireplace. <br /> IIS ! ; <br /> Mr. Guerrera and Ms. Elizenberry questioned the height of the proposal. Mr. Govoni <br /> said that the Building Commissioner would ensure that the proposal meets the height <br /> requirements. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br /> ; I <br /> Mr. Regan moved to grant the Special Permit, subject to findings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. The <br /> Special Permit is conditioned upon submission of stamped engineered plans showing the <br /> connection of the roofline from the proposal to the house. Mr. Nelson seconded. The Petitioner has notified the <br /> Harbormaster and Shellfish Constable of the proposal. <br /> i <br /> Attorney Cox addressed the Board and said that the proposal calls for removal of the <br /> existing ramp and planting of natural vegetation. The existing gravel area running <br /> through the subject lot will be replaced with landscaping. <br /> Attorney Butler said that a single-family house is under construction on the subject !I <br /> property. Attorney Butler said that construction of the new pier, ramp and float would be <br /> of benefit to the environment and the ecosystem with installation of new plantings and ;! <br /> wider slats on the ramp to allow more sunlight to reach the bottom. He stated that the <br /> structure would not unduly interfere with travel. j! <br /> Mr. Nelson suggested that the Petitioner verify that no Variance relief is needed to allow <br /> for <br /> the proposal.
