This action is a zoning appeal pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A, Section 17. FACTS 8. The Defendants Charles F. Doe, Jr. , Dana G. Doe and William A. Doe, as Trustees of the Doe Family Trust II are, upon information and belief, the owners of the property situated at the corner of Ryan's Way and Great Neck Road North. The property is located in a C-1 Zoning District, with a street address of 8 Ryan's Way and is shown on Mashpee Assessor's Map 67 as Block 75 (hereinafter "Property") . 9. The Plaintiffs are the owners of the premises abutting the Defendant's Property on the south and shown on Mashpee Assessors Map 74 as Block 22. 10. The Defendants applied to the Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals for a special permit and a variance from and under Sections 174-55 B, C, F, and G of the Mashpee Zoning Bylaw for permission to allow internal illumination of a sign, to exceed the maximum signboard area and to locate a freestanding sign twelve (12) feet from the Property lot line on Great Neck Road North. 2
