Y <br />• <br />Board of Appeals I Minutes - March 10, 1993 2. <br />Ms. Lyons, the tenant, said she will fill the holes In the <br />black top in front of the Picnic Box property. There was <br />discussion of a retail business in the Kitchen Magician site. <br />Mr. Gildea said there was great public support for the stand. <br />Mr. Friel stated that there were a number of ways to improve <br />access and discussed use of planters to divert traffic. <br />Mr. Makunas said he thought the applicant should work with <br />Greg Taylor to resolve the traffic patterns. He said he was <br />in favor if safety needs were met. He asked about signing at <br />the site. Ms. Lyons said she had installed a banner and Mr. <br />Makunas asked if it was legal. Mr. Makunas questioned if Ms. <br />Lyons received revenue from the vending machines and she said <br />she did not but that they were a convenience. He said he <br />considered the machines an eyesore and suggested that signs at <br />the site conform to the sign code. <br />Mr. Friel said they wanted to improve safety and make a <br />temporary use viable. He discussed the Board of Health memo <br />questioning the name of applicant. <br />He said all details were to be determined before any permits <br />were issued. <br />Mr. Friel moved to continue the hearing to March 24, 1993. <br />Ms. Hawver seconded. All agreed. Mr. Friel said this would <br />be first on the agenda. <br />Gordon Weeks - Mr. Weeks announced that he would be reapplying <br />for the Paint Ball park at the Rotary. <br />David H. and Donna Parsons TRS. - Request a Special Permit <br />under Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for an existing <br />seasonal pier in John's Pond on property located at 229 <br />Hooppole Road (Map 49, Block 205) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: J. Friel, M. Makunas, C. Hawver <br />Engineer Christopher Costa represented the applicant and <br />explained that the application was for licensing under the <br />amnesty program. Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Special <br />Permit. Ms. Hawver seconded, All agreed. <br />
