Nash pee Inclusion and Diversity Committee <br /> 16 Great Neck RoadWorth <br /> Mashpee, M-A 02649 <br /> Steeple Street School and they suggested one of their music teachers who would be willing <br /> to be on the subcommittee for RAD. <br /> 3. Recruitment <br /> Rachel Hicks followed the interview process. She will appear before the Select Board at their <br /> next meeting, then will be sworn in, and she will officially be a member of the Committee. <br /> She is not able to be a voting member until then. <br /> Ms. Nadeau just resigned. Ms. Hicks is slotted to fill Sue Wilson's position. Rolf Brandt is <br /> present this evening to learn more about the MIDC. <br /> Mr. Brandt asked how much of his time is required of this Committee. <br /> Mr. Kupferman stated that it varies by member based on a couple things. It depends on how <br /> much time and how involved you would like to be. It also depends on what is being worked <br /> on at the time. Subcommittees are being utilized now to share workloads. He noted <br /> Chairwoman Stevenson has a large load that needs lightening. It depends on how much time <br /> and what you are capable of contributing. <br /> Ms. DeBoer commented that her involvement is really the meetings themselves. She <br /> supports the projects, she may not have time, but she tries. <br /> Ms. Stevenson noted some members have fulltime jobs with major responsibilities. Some <br /> members may be retired and have more time. It varies and will vary according to the projects <br /> going on. <br /> Mr. Brandt asked about upcoming projects. <br /> Ms. Stevenson stated the two big ones are May 22, 2022 and June 12, 2022. They will need <br /> help setting up events. Race Amity Day will be a yearly event. Projects vary with what is <br /> relevant and what the Committee comes up with. <br /> Mr. Kupferman asked him why he was interested in attending. <br /> Mr. Brandt stated he is an immigrant and he attended a very diverse high school with a lot of <br /> diverse friends. He believes everyone is equal and we should take care of one another. <br /> When Ms. Stevenson spoke to him in regards to joining, he wasn't entirely sure what it was <br /> about. He came from Germany when he was young. He thinks he may be interested. <br /> Ms. Stevenson asked Ms. Hicks what her motivation was. <br /> 3 <br />
