m
The Board asked Charlie to look at the plans f or the s ere r
lines and compare the two plans and see how much more
disturbance there would be.
The groundwater discharge permit is based on piping in the
open space.
Mr. Grogan has a letter from DEP saying they sent everything
to the Board of Health but the Board of Health does not have
anything on file.
Charlie will report to the Board regarding this matter on
July 18th.
dip Koval Not Re uired Plan
Applicant: Joseph DiMaggio
Location: Route 130 (gas station lot)
Request: Signature of 1-lot ANR plan.
Rich Ferrera was present representing the applicant.
Judy explained that they spore with Joe Reardon who stated
that the plan must have a note on it that states the
signature does not indicate conformance with local zoning
sec. 174 .12 of the zoning by law.
Rich will try to return later in the evening with the note
on the plan or if not, will return on July 18th.
Report
Dr. William Kerfoot will report to the Planning Board on
progress in the Mashpee/Santuit River Study.
Dr. Kerfoot stated that this report is abbreviated, the next
report will include the overall and projections for buildout
and what currently exists .
He presented a draft in process report on the river study
which also includes some analysis of runoff . It is
information which is being accumulated and will be
incorporated into the final report. }
He explained some of the major aspects which have been done
- they have divided the area into individual sections and
are conducting sampling. The results are in from the main
round of sampling.
What is being done - a boundary determination and each lot
is being numbered and each is assigned a value for nitrogen
loading.
-taking information of loading and putting it into a model
which combines groundwater flow and freshwater flow into
the river.
They have been measuring flows and there is only a 2 fold
R
factor between winter and summer flows.
Groundwater inflow in brackish water is not greater than 10
f
of inflow. it is small quantity but can still have impact
from quality.
-- 3 -
