some kind of agreement. He told them he would enclose it and
plant window boxes and try to do the best he could to camoufl age
it and now he is trying to say he does not want to enclose it.
We are getting very tired of the fight but we are not giving up.
Shirley Driscoll, Seconsett Island stated she wants to second and
third everything Ms. Driscoll and Ms. Perry have said. She is in
total opposition to a rack storage in her neighborhood and wants
to go on record as protesting a change in the by law.
Tony stated that the article points out that the Board should
further discuss the marina by law.
Because this matter is the subject of ongoing legal appeal ,
court, Cape Cod Commission and other activity to change the
definition in the midst of all of that would be ridiculous and
make it more complicated.
Judy stated that she completely agrees.
Judy made a motion that the Board does not recommend this article
at Town Meeting. Louise seconded the motion. All Board members
were in favor. 5-0 .
Tom stated that one of the recommendations of the Harbor
Management plan is specifically to look at a marina district and
recommend a serious of regulations governing that .
Public Hearing to review road taking articles on Santuit Pond
Estates and Johns Pond Estates.
Tony read the ads for the roads in Santuit Ponds and Johns Pond
Estates.
Marie Scally stated that what is printed in the warrant is not
the same as in the legal notice.
Tom will also discuss this with Town Counsel,
Santuit Pond - submitted by petition, to rescind previous action
to have the road taken by the Town.
Mr. Blakemen was present to explain the article_ Last Oct. it
was approved that the town take all the roads and the estimate
was for $600,000 , Mr. Reardon' s letter stated that it would not
exceed $5 , 000 per lot over 20 years . What wasn't know was that
there is interest over that amount and that would be $450 .00 per
year.
The Work planned to be done seemed excessive. Therefore he put
in the petition to rescind the action taken and in order to keep
the cast down as a compromise would like the town to take Santuit
Pond Road and Edgewater road the two main feeder roads.
6
