7 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> January 6, 2022 <br /> Ava Costello; <br /> Application: HVAC Unit for One-Room Schoolhouse - $19,680: <br /> Ava Costello and Richard DeSorgher were in attendance to review the submission of the <br /> Historical Commission to install an HVAC heating and cooling unit at the One Room <br /> Schoolhouse with electrical upgrades and building repairs. At the last meeting the $25,000 <br /> projection was reduced to$19,680. <br /> The One Room Schoolhouse is listed in the National Register and as a Historical Place by the <br /> Massachusetts Historical Commission. The building situated in the Mashpee Community Park <br /> also lies in the Historic District. <br /> Motion made by Ms. Barbee to approve and recommend to the May 2022 Special Town <br /> Meeting the HVAC Unit for the One Room Schoolhouse in the amount of$19,680 with <br /> funding to derive from the CPA 10%Historic Reserve for this purpose. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Larkin. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 7-0-1. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Gottlieb, yes Mrs. Thayer,yes Mr. Hyde, abstained <br /> Mr. Larkin, yes Ms. Waygan,yes Ms. Barbee, yes Mr. Shackett, yes <br /> Ms. Russell, yes Opposed, none Ms. Smith absent for vote. <br /> Application: Mashpee War Monument Project - $86,000: <br /> The Mashpee War Monument project is near completion. CPA funding in the amount of <br /> $86,000 would add to available funds to purchase a solid granite monument to honor and pay <br /> tribute to all Veterans from the Town of Mashpee to ensure their sacrifice and service is made <br /> visible and never forgotten.
