Steve Mone and votes were recorded as follows: Don MacDonald: yes, Dick Noonan:yes,
Steve Mone: yes, Tim Leedham: yes, Gregg Fraser: yes and Ken Bates: No. The motion to
switch was thereby passed.
Following this approved motion the original motion for carrying same officers needed to be
voted upon: Ken Bates: yes, Don MacDonald: No, Dick Noonan: No, Tim Leedham: No, Steve
Mone: No, Gregg Fraser: No. As a result that motion did not carry for the original proposed
slate consisting of last year's officers.
With the new Meeting time established and the realization that Ken Bates would have to resign,
Gregg withdrew his prior suggested slate of Officers. A discussion ensued on those willing to
serve as Officers of the Commission. This resulted in a motion for a new slate that consisted of:
Steve Mone, Chair, Gregg Fraser, Vice Chair and Dick Noonan, Secretary. A motion to approve
this slate was made by Gregg Fraser, seconded by Steve Mone and was approved by recorded
votes as follows: Ken Bates: No, Don MacDonald: abstained, Dick Noonan: yes, Steve Mone:
yes, Tim Leedham, yes, Gregg Fraser: yes
A discussion followed that recognized the many contributions made by Ken Bates and a
request that he consider staying on as a member of the Commission. Ken stated that evening
meetings were not possible for him due to other commitments and stated his need to resign.
Tim requested that the topic of meeting dates and times be on next month's agenda. It was decided
that we need to discuss and be prepared to make a recommendation to the Select Board as to
whether we believe this function should be transferred from the MWC to the DNR. It was
decided to make this an agenda item at our next Commission meeting. A motion was also
made at this time by Steve Mone and seconded by Gregg Fraser to hold the next meeting on
August 10, 2022 at 7:00pm.The motion to approve was carried by the following roll call vote:
Don MacDonald: yes, Dick Noonan: yes, Steve Mone:yes, Gregg Fraser: yes, Tim Leedham:
yes, and Ken Bates: no
Harborma .ter..R.eort: Ashley introduced Robert Tomaino, Senior Assistant Harbormaster, as
the recommended candidate for the Harbormaster position, pending finalization of the hiring
process.
