Chair Baumgertel commented that there are 2 options: (1) require the residents to upgrade their <br /> failed systems within two years of failure, or (2) do nothing, which is really not an option. Chair <br /> Baumgaertel further commented that cesspool failures fall under local regulation, not a state or <br /> Title V regulation. He inquired as to the nature of the 22 failures, to which Mrs. Willander <br /> responded that all fafluires were per Title 5 criteria, not local regulations, aside from the cesspool <br /> identification. Chair Bauimgaertel requested that the Board be provided with the nature of the <br /> failures for the non-cesspool systems, <br /> Chair Baumgaertel agreed to speak with the Chair of the Select Board to arrange a working session <br /> to discuss the status of the failures around Santuit Pond. <br /> There were no further comments or discussion, and no motion was required. <br /> 2. COVID-19 Update. Assistant Health Agent, Mrs. Willander commented the following regarding <br /> COViD-19: <br /> • Monitored epWemioiogical data from the MA Department of Pubfic Health and <br /> Barnstable County Department of Health & Environment <br /> • Participated in bi-weekly DPH webinars and bi-weekly conference calls with the Cape Cod <br /> Health Agents' Coalition <br /> • Provided weeIdy updated case numbers to the public safety answering point and the <br /> Town Manager's Office. <br /> • Provide test kits and guidance to Town ernployees who are experiencing symptoms, are <br /> close contacts or Ihave tested positive. <br /> • Maintain communication with School Health Officials <br /> • Maintained communication with administrators at local congregate care facilities <br /> • Maintained the'Town website COVID-19 page <br /> As of Monday, July 11th, Mashpee had 12 cases in isolation. As of Thursday, July 711, the daily <br /> incident rate in Mashpee was 23; and the 14-day positivity rate was 7.4%. <br /> Ms. Willander stated that, as part of its efforts to focus on metrics (i.e. number of cases, <br /> hospitalizations and deaths)that are most useful,and to reflect the evolving COVID-19 response, <br /> effective July 11, 2022, DPH is publishing the COVlD-19 Interactive Data Dashboard on a weekly <br /> basis rather than five days per week. DPH will continue to closely monitor COVID-19 in <br /> Massachusetts, and maintains the ability to increase the type and frequency of data publication <br /> in the future if there is a need. <br /> Changes include: <br /> • Data will be uplloaded to the interactive dashboard once per week on Thursdays <br /> • Updated population denominators to more recent Census numbers going forward <br /> • The Contact Tracing and Clusters tabs under COVIID-19 Cases will be removed going <br /> forward; due to changes in case Investigation and contact tracing practices, these data <br /> are no longer representative of the current situation <br /> • Higher Education data information will be removed going forward,due to the decrease In <br /> surveillance testing being conducted in those settings <br />
