Mrs. Willander commented that, this
dwelling and direct abutters on either side (286 and 268) are serviced by potable wells. The local
regulation requires a 150'setback to any potable well and the plan shows only 100'.There should
be an existing leach pit labelled on the site plan.
Chair Baumgaertel commented that there should be an exact benchmark on the design plan. The
setback should meet the local regulation of 150'. The inlet and outlet Ts should be added. Mr.
Virgilio inquired about the existing tank and a confirmation for the number of bedrooms on the
property.
Chair Baumgaertel requested more time to review the design plan and provide comments for the
design plan.
There being no further comments or discussion, Kripani Patel moved to continue eview of the
septic design plan for 278 Meetinghouse Road to the next meeting. Review of Septic Design Plan—294 Mashpee Neck Road. Mrs.Willander commented that a final
approved plan needs land surveyor stamp in addition to engineer/designer. Ms. Willander
inquired whether the site plan should show a 10' setback from the water line.
Chair Baumgaertel confirmed that there should be a 10' setback from the water line. He further
commented that the soil absorption system is partially in the driveway and the venting is missing.
A riser is required for the distribution box and should be drawn on the plan. The separation from
the garage to the leach field needs to be determined, and whether it is a slab.Chair Baumgaertel
and Ernie Virgilio were concerned about mechanically compacted soil stated on the design plans
and should most likely have crushed stone.
Chair Baumgaertel requested more time to review the design plan and provide comments.
There being no further comments or discussion, Kripani Patel moved to continue the review of
the septic design plan for 294 Mashpee Neck Road to the next meeting.
