There being no further comments or discussion, Mr.Virgilio motioned to approve the draft Sewer
Regulation as presented. Motion seconded by Brian Baumgaertel. Roll call vote Ernest Virgilio
(yes); Brian Baumgaertel (yes). VOTE: Unanimous(2-0).
4. Review of Septic Design Plan — 19 Punkhorn Point Road. Ms. Willander stated that this plan
proposes to add a pump chamber, force main and connection of proposed garage to existing
system. The system profile note regarding unsuitable material should say Note 8, not Note 9;
alarm and pump should be on separate circuits; and a riser should be shown on the d-box.
Mark Dibb, engineer from Cape and Island Engineering, introduced himself for the record and
took questions from the Board. Mr. Dibb stated that the client is proposing a detached garage to
store two vehicles, and an area for fixing fishing equipment. A lower level bathroom with toilet
and sink is also proposed. There is an unfinished upstairs, with a deck. An ejector pump, tying
into a gravity line coming out of the house to a new four-bedroom leach field, is proposed to
repair an existing leach field. Mr. Dibb stated that the upstairs space is completely unfinished and
uninhabitable, and will be utilized for storage only.
There being no further comments or discussion, Chair Baumgaertel motioned to approve the
septic plan for 19 Punkhorn Point Road with the following conditions: 1)the system profile must
show a riser on d-box;2)the Note 9 reference to unsuitable material should say Note 8;3)ejector
pump model shall be changed to not indicate a grinder pump; 4) a note must be added that the
alarm and pump will be on separate circuits; 5)thrust blocks should be added on the force main.
Motion is seconded by Ernest Virgilio. Roll call vote: Ernest Virgilio (yes); Brian Baumgaertel (yes)
. VOTE: Unanimous(2-0)
5. Review of Septic Design Plan — 11 Jonas Drive. Ms. Willander commented no variances were
requested or need; however, the site plan needs to show the dimensions of the SAS.
There being no further comment or discussion,Brian Baumgaertel motioned to approve the septic
plan for 11 Jonas Drive with the condition that the overhead site view show the dimensions of the
SAS. Motion seconded by Ernest Virgilio. Roll call vote: Brian Baumgaertel (yes); Ernest Virgilio
(yes). VOTE: Unanimous(2-0).
6. Review of Relocation Plan—44 Popponesset Island Road- Ms.Willander commented that a tank
relocation is usually approved by BOH staff, but came in with a full scale plan rather than an as-
built. Mr. Dibb, engineer from Cape and Island Engineering, introduced himself for the record and
took questions from the Board. He explained that this is an existing four-bedroom dwelling being
replaced with a new four-bedroom dwelling. Proposed attached garage is within 10 feet of
existing tank;therefore, they are proposing to move the tank to an area that meets the required
setback and keep the existing leach field installed in 2015. Chair Baumgaertel asked for profile or
as-built for installer to use. Mark stated that they can provide that.
There being no further comment or discussion,Brian Baumgaertel motioned to approve the septic
tank relocation plan for 44 Popponesset Island Road with the conditions that the profile view
indicate the components being modified, as well as the number of existing and proposed
bedrooms. An as-built shall be submitted prior to issue of Certificate of Compliance. Motion
seconded by Ernest Virgilio. Roll Call Vote: Brian Baumgaertel (yes); Ernest Virgilio (yes). VOTE:
Unanimous(2-0)
