The Schoolhouse had 310 visitors this past
year, the most from any other year. The DPW planted Inkberry to disguise the compressor unit
and the piping was painted to maintain the integrity of the building.
There is a small amount of funding available. The monies would be added to the existing funds
to construct a woodshed with cedar shingles. This was supportive of the CPC and a goal of the
former School Master, Frank J. Lord to further replicate the building.
The Restoration of the Lakewood Cemetery project is ongoing. The land has been surveyed and
staked. The damaged and diseased trees have been removed and the site has been cleaned.
Black wrought iron fencing is planned to be installed. The DPW will conduct landscaping in the
spring and the damaged stones will be repaired and washed. The result will create a park setting,
and improve the Lakewood neighborhood.
The Historical Commission anticipates returning to the CPC for CPA funding to improve other
Town cemeteries in the future.
Kimberly„Connw HMash ee nHousin Authorit ,- Pro i ,ects m
Kimberly Conn, Executive Director of the Mashpee Housing Authority reviewed the Home yer
Villae Roof Re Ialacement project and the Breezy; Wa Roofs Siding & Windows project funded
at the May 2022 Special Town Meeting.
At this time, the Mashpee Housing Authority is awaiting a decision from HILAPP.
