Lori Depina introduced herself for the record, she is representing Vincent Doheney from My
Cousin Vinny’s Junk Removal.

Ms. Patel gave a quick background how they were on the previous agenda asking for a reduced
fee as they are a small business just starting out. They were not informed to appear before the
Board to represent their story last meeting so they are before the Board this evening.

Ms. Depina stated Mr. Doheney is a junk removal business, no household trash at all. He has a
minimum of $135.00, nobody will pay that to remove garbage bags. It’s mostly furniture brought
to Bourne and they pay a higher rate or they try to donate as much as they can. To pay the same
rate as Cavossa when they are a brand new business, trying to do right by getting a business
license and proper insurances and registrations. They are seeking special accommodations. She
understands they need to pay something. In the e-mail she sent a picture of the pickup truck with
the 6x14 trailer. So many people don’t register and dispose at the town dump because they aren’t
registered as commercial. They are just trying to do the right things.

Mr. Baumgaertel asked if anyone else was registered with just a truck and trailer.

Mr. Harrington noted that no one else is set up like this. He can’t swear they don’t go to the
transfer station but he will confirm with DPW Director. He doesn’t know what the oversight is at
the transfer station. It is not a town employee that runs the gate.

Ms. Depina could give examples of the last three jobs hauls.

Mr. Virgilio inquired about containers remaining on sites for days, but they have a trailer that
attaches to his trailer. Everything is transported from the site via his truck.

Ms. Depina doesn’t want smelly trash sitting in the driveway at her personal home. They still have
household trash for their own Mashpee dump sticker.

Mr. Virgilio asked about concrete or hard materials.

Ms. Depina stated the largest removal was a deck that was brought to the dump. She probably
wouldn’t take concrete as she seems to underprice a lot of her jobs. They do not scrap metal but
they take metal appliances. She prefers items not be left around her house.

Ms. Patel remarked that businesses grow and if this accommodation is approved and the business
grows. What do they see as potential business growth?

Ms. Depina does not want to hire other people or get so busy they have to buy another truck. He
has the ability if he needs a helper, but the nature of the business is going in people’s homes. She
doesn’t want to worry if someone gets injured or someone steals, she thinks they can only count
on themselves.

Mr. Baumgaertel wants to ensure the cost of this fee would cover an inspection and staff time
each year.

Mr. Harrington stated it would cover the inspection. He also noted the need for a tarp and asked
where they are operating from.
5
