Progress

Ms. Novelly noted that UHI has done site visits, interviews, and work on the docks and
structures (Being done by the PhD student). At this point, UHI is building the
background. The goal is to make recommendations in a report. UHI is working on
organizing and condensing the comments from the public meeting. One challenge for
the plan is beach erosion with many different views (armor or let happen et cetera).
Regarding the survey, that will be done closer to when a draft is ready - early Fall.

Public Meeting #1

Approval of Notes

Ms. Fisher asked for comments on the Notes and whether they were ready to be
included on the website and noted that they were good to go.

Mr. Tomaino made a motion to accept the Notes which was seconded by Mr. Evans.
This was unanimously approved.

Ancient Ways to Water:

Update

Ms. Fisher noted the prior work by the Town Panner and wanted to know if that could
be built upon to do deed searches. Mr. Lehrer note the list was large, but that the
Historical Commission has done significant research and suggested that the Historical
Commission be asked to assist with the project. Mr. Lehrer indicated that he was
willing to approach the Historical Commission for that purpose. Ms. Fisher suggested
approaching such individuals as Earle Mills, “Chucky” Greene, et cetera.

Informational “Popups”

Ms. Fisher though this was something that really needed to get on. Ms. Fisher noted
that she will be at the Mashpee Powwow. Ms. Wyman-Colombo volunteered to go on
st
Saturday 1. (12:30 to 5 pm) Ms. Uiterwyk offered to help with materials such as
signage and a signup sheet. Regarding a table, Mr. Lehrer has tables and suggested that
the Recreation Department could provide some materials as well. Mr. Tomaino was
going to look condition of an available tent.

Mr. Avis shared that the Chamber of Commerce has a link on the site and the flyer. He
also noted that the Chamber of Commerce was open to further suggestions and
assistance.
