However, Ms. Wyman-Colombo noted that there was
an interest in learning more. Ms. Fisher decried the lack of social media presence (just
mailings in general) noting many in the public had requested that. Regarding boating
and navigation, Ms. Fisher asked Mr. Noonan what he learned. Mr. Noonan noted a lot
of public frustration about the depth issue, dredging, et cetera with many voicing
complaints and unwilling to listen. Mr. Noonan went on to note there is a big
opportunity to educate and communicate with the public about the Committee.
Regarding a moratorium on shellfish grants, Mr. Noonan indicated the topic came up at
their last meeting (Waterway Commission) and noted there was a request for a meeting
with the Shellfish Commission.

Stakeholder Meetings – Ms. Fisher asked for input from the Committee after sending
out a draft list. Ms. Fisher noted Barnstable and Falmouth should be on the list noting
the processes in place there for aquaculture leases and nitrogen credits – bringing in
more to the Town. There also is a desire to discuss MOU for Popponessett Bay and
Waquoit with Barnstable.

Individual Meetings with Committee Members – Ms. Uiterwijk indicated UHI has a
few people to go.

Public Meeting #1. Regarding Tribal
Involvement, Ms. Fisher suggested contacting Buddy of the Natural Resource
Commission. Ms. Uiterwijk has been speaking to Mr. Oakley and others directly.

Docks and Piers Survey – Nicholas Warner – There was a presentation on the work
by PhD candidate, Nicholas Warner. Mr. Warner recently received his master’s and
was congratulated by several members of the Committee. Mr. Warner provided details
behind his survey of docks and floats in the Town and a spreadsheet detailing data
compiled from GIS, Googe Earth, ariel imagery as well as tax data. Mr. McManus
commented on the wetland buffer zone delineation shown and noted that it was only 75
feet as opposed to 100’ (150’ in future). Ms. Fisher noted that the mapping was for the
whole Town and was going to be used in the future for compliance and mitigation. \[Mr.
Warner has a long way to go still\].

Chapter 91 progress – Data Sharing. Ms. Fisher noted that she has reached out to
Chapter 91, but not to request any licenses. (More a request on what the Town could do)
Mr. Lehrer noted that Mr. Warner had done nice work and had a lot of data the Town
was looking for.

Informational “Popups” – Ms. Fisher came back to the type of events needed and
which members were willing to commit to attend those events.
