He noted there will be children’s activities, information <br />tables, and entertainment. <br /> <br />Ms. Stevenson stated the Donovan’s are involved with the Baha’i and they made a nice <br />donation. We also wrote a grant and have money from Mass Cultural Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Klein noted the banner is complete and he will pick it up this week. <br /> <br />Ms. Wilson made a reminder about not using gift cards this year for Race Amity Day <br />entertainers. <br /> <br />Ms. Johnson-Graham stated someone from WBZ4 may come to Race Amity Day to cover the <br />story. <br /> <br />Planning Holocaust Remembrance <br />The international acknowledgment is in January. She would like to focus on that month. <br />Marsha Smith is the woman behind this program and the fee to show the video is $600. Ms. <br />Stevenson was just notified about the cost being covered. A gentleman would come and show <br />a video and we would hear a survivor’s story. <br /> <br />Mr. Kupferman saw the movie and it’s not anything that would be objected, it’s more about <br />survival and what this man has gone to do with his life and how he goes to schools talking <br />about his story. <br /> <br />Ms. Stevenson would like to work with the librarian but host the event at the school auditorium <br />and possibly offer credits to students and invite the community. <br /> <br />Ms. Wilson mentioned the Anti-Semitism campaign Robert Kraft is running. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Veterans Initiatives <br />Mr. Kovary was here along with Heroes in Transition, and now Rebecca Hopwood is here to <br />share what she is doing with veterans. Mr. Kovary continues to reach out asking for help <br />identifying veterans in the community. <br /> <br />She will be having a meeting at the Senior Center with Richard DeSorgher, there is a group of <br />100 veterans at South Port. One of the first initiatives this Committee supported was the <br />designated veteran’s parking spot at the Community Park, there are two spaces. <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
