The application of the Affordable
Housing Trust lacked detail. The Trust did not provide the additional information that was
requested. This included a list of projects and possible addresses. Ms. Waygan indicated she is
concerned about putting too much money in that bank account to be used in a way, different
from us. The Trust could easily fund a controversial project. $550,000 is enough to strike
interest. Ms. Russell added the AHT is required to have a grant agreement in place with the CPC
when they receive CPA funds.
Ms. Barbee stated the Trust does not have a good track record. They need to keep meeting, and
make decisions. Can they be accountable to the CPC if we are giving them money, can they
follow through?
It was noted that CPA funds can be utilized to hire affordable housing staff members to facilitate
projects.
There was no further discussion.
