r <br /> 2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March' , 200 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Leisure Services Director— it it bRi Klub: (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the proposal of the <br /> Leisure Services Department to relocate the Kids Klub Pre-School <br /> and Daycare Center to the former Carol Jacobson Senior Center for <br /> term of one-year. The seed money to support the relocation shall <br /> derive from the Leisure Service Revolving Fund. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Selectman Taylor absent. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to place an article on the May <br /> Town Meeting Warrant that would create an Enterprise Fund. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Selectman Taylor absent. <br /> Joint Meetinm with Pimnce Committee—Budget Discussion: <br /> The Board of Selectmen met with member the Finance Committee <br /> for the purpose of reviewing the omnibus budget for fiscal year 2006. <br /> Line items associated to departmental requests and recommendations were <br /> considercd, <br /> Items held for Sher review included the sal ary/wage of the Town Clerk. <br /> It was agreed that Government Consulting group, the firm Mired to <br /> complete a classification and compensation study for the Town would be <br /> consulted regarding the appropriate salary percentage increase for this <br /> position. It was also agreed that the consultant would be consulted <br /> regarding the organizational structure of the Police Department. The <br /> department has requested to change the present part-time administrative <br /> clerk position, 19 hours to a full-tine administrative assistant, 37.5 hours, <br /> At this time,the budget recommendation of the Town Manager does not <br /> include the salary and benefits related to the position. if funding were not <br /> available to be transferred for the position, it was agreed that the position <br /> would be considered in October, GSG, Inc, would be consulted regarding <br /> the organizational structure of the Police epartment. <br />
