There is an existing order of conditions for the reconstruction and renovation
of the existing dwelling. The existing pier is made of aluminum with grated decking, which was
approved as part of the conditions for the dwelling. The proposal is to add 2 more 4' x 8'
aluminum sections, along with a 6' x 6' square section,resulting in a 10' x 6' terminal end(60 sq
ft). The Harbor Master has indicated no concerns regarding navigation. Mr. Dibb believes that
this proposal meets the performance standards for both the Wetlands Protection Act and the
Mashpee Regulations. Currently,Natural Heritage is reviewing the proposal.
COMMISSIONERS COMMENTS
• Q: Where is the dock kept off season?
o A: Kept below the existing stone wall on the shoreline of the pond.
o Agent states that the dock can be stored on the shoreline of the pond, which is
rocky and has an old concrete wall.
• Q: How many sections of seasonal dock are there?
o A: Five 8' sections currently with an additional 2 and 2 square sections totaling 9
pieces.
• Q: What is the reasoning for the pier extension?
o A: The applicant is attempting to get to deeper water as well as better access with
a larger terminal end
• Q: What is the total square footing over the water?
o A: 292 sgft
PUBLIC COMMENTS
15
