discussed as well as a likelihood that both basins of Mashpee Wakeby will need an allum <br />treatment to supplement based on the severity of the degradation of the ponds. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br />None at this Time. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Discussion and approval of the May 21, 2024 Sewer Commission Meeting minutes. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Towle to approve the minutes of the May 21, 2024 Sewer <br />Commission meeting. <br />Motion seconded by Catherine Castaneda. <br />Motion passed by unanimous consent. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />None at this Time. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />1. Sewer Construction Update – GHD. <br /> <br />Sandra Tripp provided a construction update verbally as there were technical issues again and <br />she was unable to share a slideshow. <br />Sandy began her update focusing on Phase 1 construction and the plant stating that a lot had <br />been happening during the months of May and June with the overhead doors and pads being <br />installed outside of the buildings, exterior lights have been installed and windows and louvers <br />are all in. <br /> <br />Inside the preliminary treatment building FRP grading has been put down over the channels, <br />equipment is in place and the electrician are busy doing wiring. Much of the same has <br />happened at the process building. Leeching pits and rain gardens are going in. The building is <br />ready for gas service. The stainless steel air piping inside the process building is complete. <br />Chemical feed pumps are in place inside the chemical room, along with permeate pumps being <br />installed and are currently being wired up. <br /> <br />In the MLSS pump room, 2 out of 8 of the pumps have been installed. <br /> <br />Sandra reported that all 4 of the sand beds have been installed. <br /> <br />The collection system north is substantially complete. Sandra stated that they are currently <br />working on punch list and close-out items. <br /> <br />On the collection system south they have done a lot of work on Orchard Road and at the 2 <br />pump stations with privacy fencing installed around the generators and landscaping being <br />done. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
