Proposed Amend Order of
Conditions 043-2618 for the extension of the previously approved pier by approximately 23ft
into deeper water, adding 4 additional piles and changing the proposed float size from 25ft x 6ft
to 32ft x 6ft a 42sgft increase. The proposal involves extending the pier approximately 15 feet and
changing the float size to 192 square feet. The pier will traverse an area of salt marsh and a small
section between the salt marsh and the upland of the BVW (bordering vegetated wetland). The
extension aims to achieve a 3-foot depth suitable for the boat type.
The Harbor Master has expressed concern that the pier extends about 8 feet beyond the
neighboring piers. However, the homeowners are reviewing a revised plan. This revised plan
shortens the pier extension to align with adjacent piers while maintaining the desired depth.
The Division of Marine Fisheries letter has been received but not yet reviewed, and there are no
comments from the Shellfish Constable.
