Mashpee Inclusion and Diversity Committee
16 Great Neck Road North
Mashpee, MA 02649
Ms. Stevenson noted the original brochure had a photo of the members; this one will have our
new logo.

Ms. Wilson inquired if the original template could be accessed and forwarded, Ms. Hanscom
forwarded the template to the subgroup.

Logo Update
The Town Manager commented on the Logo, he cautioned that the image will be hard to
decipher when shrunk. Dan Kupferman agreed it would be tiny when added to the newspaper
column.

Winnie Johnson- Graham noted the font can be changed. The Chair added she is looking to
incorporate this into a tablecloth or banner, so it will be enlarged.

Richard Klein would like to reuse the banners for Race Amity Day, and this new portable item
with our logo could be used for all other events.

MOTION:
Rolf Brandt made a motion to approve up to $200.00 of MIDC funds to be used
towards signage incorporating the new Committee logo. Seconded by Gail
Wilson. All in favor.

Proposed Survey
This subgroup used the Plymouth No Place for Hate survey as an example, they found that
survey would be a great ‘Next Step’ or ‘Step Two’. Ms. Hanscom noted they were looking for
more of a starting point, establishing a baseline, and getting an understanding of our presence.
Do people even know what we do? This will act as a needs assessment for this Committee; to
drive visibility and awareness. It was shortened and kept simple.

Chair Stevenson stated the Survey Monkey for the Coalition generated a 30% response rate,
which is decent.

Ms. Hanscom would encourage MIDC not to use social media platforms, i.e. The Mashpee
Message, to launch official business. However, if a member, acting as a resident, would like to
share said item, that is completely fine.

Dan Kupferman noted there was some confusion in the wording for the ranking of priorities.
The survey was edited to reflect changes.
3
