,y
Paul wanted to know if the EDC votes for an appointment. Ted suggested that Sid
get this information for the committee -- Is each new member appointed by Bob
Whritenour, subject to the Selectmen's final vote? or is it a Bob Whritenour
recommendation to Selectmen as a result of input from the EDC? Ted also asked if
Sid would ask Bob Whritenour if it is appropriate to hand out resumes of applicants
to committee members.
ASSIGNMENTS '
The guide book is at the printers and will be finished at the end of this month. Each
member of the committee will get a copy of the guide book before it is distributed
and the EDC will go over the guide book at a meeting together to familiarize the
new members with its content.
Sid informed the committee that he is taking responsibility for the welcome signs
and landscaping project and he will have more information on this at the next
meeting.
Sid wondered if there are enough applicants for the coordinator position. Paul
responded that we should make that decision after the two applicants have been
interviewed. If, at that time, the committee feels neither candidate is qualified,
there should be another advertisement for the position. Ted suggested that, at that
time, he,might suggest the advertisement have a broader distribution, not Ming
it to the Mashpee newspaper. For the record, Ted is not recommending that the
town change its procedure, he would only wish to recommend, in the future, that
the ad be placed in more newspapers.
Sid asked Paul to call Bob Whritenour about the computer and report back to the
committee at the next meeting.
4
4
