MINUTES February 4, 1993 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> 5. ) Variance request, 17 Russell Road - Mr. McQuaid in- <br /> formed Board members the owner is requesting a 15' variance <br /> from abutting well, ( #42 Great River Road) , to the on-site <br /> leaching facility, a 33' variance from abutting well, (#322 <br /> Monomoscoy Road) , and a 9' sideline variance. <br /> Board members agreed a public hearing should be held and <br /> all abutters notified. <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed he will notify the owner and engi- <br /> neer of the Boards decision to hold a public hearing. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Melvin Reine, Jr. - Five Star Recycling <br /> I <br /> Mr. Reine was in attendance for this scheduled appoint- <br /> ment. <br /> Mr. Reine presented Board members with a unsolicited <br /> proposal for recycling services at the Transfer <br /> Station/Landfill and commented all recyclable goods will be <br /> accepted in one bag and will be sorted at their facility in <br /> Wareham. " "We will install 2 twelve ton self-operating com- <br /> pactors at the recycling area. " "The town would be charged <br /> $39.00 per ton, as well as, a service fee of $300.00 per box <br /> totalling $600.00/month. "Charges also include a fee of <br /> $100.00 for each compactor pull . " "Residential waste would <br /> be returned to the Transfer Station for conventional dis- <br /> posal.
