MINUTES May 6, 1993 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Greelish directed Mr. McQuaid to question Mx. <br /> Sherman as to whether he could provide the Board with site <br /> references. <br /> Mr. McQuaid responded, "Mr. Sherman has stated that in- <br /> formation would be available Monday. " <br /> DISCUSSION: Flat Pond subdivision <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "As per this Board's request I did <br /> forward a memo to the Planning Board indicating that based on <br /> knowledge received and insufficient information on the pre- <br /> liminary proposal this Board is reconsidering its approval <br /> pending the results of the hydrogeological study. " <br /> 4. ) Memo from Town Clerk re: Sticker sales - Mr. Greelish <br /> relayed, "I did discuss the matter with the Town Clerk who <br /> indicated stickers would be restricted to new or seasonal <br /> residents. " "I would recommend the Agent forward a memo <br /> stating: "Transfer Station/Landfill stickers for each fiscal <br /> year shall be made available to the residents of the town 60 <br /> days prior to the expiration date of the current stickers. " <br /> "This Board is aware of the economic constraints place on <br /> your office however, at this time the current program does <br /> not service the taxpayer. " "This Board will monitor the up- <br /> coming sale of the 1993 stickers. " If there is too much of a <br /> demand we will seek alternative solutions. " "In order to fa- . <br /> cilitate the sticker process we intend to initiate a data <br /> base for all stickers purchased. " "Please advise as to <br /> whether the Board's policy will cause unreasonable demands on <br /> your office. " "Due to the current situation the Board will <br /> vote to extend residents a 30 day grace period. " <br /> Board members agreed with Mr. Greelish's recommendation. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Cape & Islands Eng. - 49 Kim Path <br /> Mr. Slavinsky was in attendance for this scheduled ap- <br /> pointment. <br /> Mr. - Slavinsky presented certified mail receipts and <br /> stated, "There is an existing cesspool at the site. " <br /> "Groundwater was encountered at elevation 2. 1. " "The owner <br /> is requesting a 37' local variance from abutting well , (House <br /> #53 Kim Path) , to the on-site proposed leaching facility, the <br /> use of flow diffusers and a 4' State sideline variance. " <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to grant the above stated variances <br /> with the stipulation the owner sign the affidavit which <br /> agrees to no increase in habitable space, Mr. Ball seconded, <br /> all agreed. <br />
