MINUTES January 20 ,1994 5 BOARD OF HEALTH
Mr. Greelish informed Ms. Saunders, "This Board is will-
ing to assist you in any way it can. "There is no way we can
allow you to leave it where it is. " "Your abutter has indi-
cated he would like to proceed within two weeks. " "He may,
at his option, disconnect your system without any liability
on his part. " "Once your system is shut down your home be-
comes uninhabitable. "
Mr. Ball questioned Ms. Saunders as to whether her in-
tent is to move the system in two weeks.
Mr. Saunders responded, "I am not very knowledgeable
about these kind of things. " "I have to do some research and
give it some thought. " "I am not in any position to give you
any statements or satisfaction because I am not knowledgeable
in what you are talking about. "
Mr. Ball questioned Ms. Saunders as to whether she could
provide the Board with an answer by next Thursday.
Ms. Saunders responded, "I can't say how long it's going
to take me to look into it. "
Mr. Doherty informed Ms. Saunders, "In fourteen days Mr.
Fitzpatrick plans to go ahead and install his septic system,
which he has every right to do, " "When he does that he may
destroy your pit and if your pit is destroyed your septic
system is condemned and so is your house. "
Mr. Saunders responded, "In my opinion that particular
timetable should be null and void as it came at a very inop-
portune time, (during the holiday season) .
Mr. Greelish stated, "This Board cannot give you any ex--
tension. "
Ms. Saunders relayed, "You say I have fourteen days, I
was not available for fourteen days. " "It isn't until now at
this meeting when I talked with Mr. McQuaid and gave him a
time that it was convenient for me. " "It is from this point
on, now that I have this information, as I have no idea what
your are talking about. "
Mr. Doherty informed Ms. Saunders, "You signed for the
letter on the 22nd of December. "
Ms . Saunders responded, "I went out of town on the
23rd. " "I did inform Mr. McQuaid and Mr. DiMaggio that I was
leaving town. " "What I need to do is to try to absorb what
you have given me tonight and get back to you. "
i
