MINUTES February 17 , 1994 3 BOARD OF HEALTH
Mr. McQuaid questioned Mr. Chamberlain as to which
agency or organization he receives the most referrals from.
Mr. Chamberlain responded, "I am unsure as to the origin
of the referrals. " "We collect that information but we col-
lect it in an aggregate way so we don't have it listed by the
referral sources from each community. "
Mr. Greelish recommended this Board meet with the indi-
viduals who have that information to ensure the townspeople
are being responded to and that the town spends what monies
it has the wisest.
Mr. Chamberlain explained, "We do have a centralized in-
take process for the majority of our services. "
Mr. Greelish recommended one of the agents review the
referral determination process with Mr. Chamberlain.
Mr. Chamberlain explained, "Depending on the services
required the individual/family members may be referred to an-
other clinic so that services are not duplicated. "
Mr. Greelish commented, "The V.N.A. has graciously of-
fered us the option of taking all inquiries and directing
them in the appropriate place. "
Mr. Greelish motioned to recommend the Cape Cod Human
Service funding request for fiscal year 1994 to the Finance
Committee, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed.
3 . ) Copy of letter from New Seabury to Planning Board re:
Flat Pond - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "In my opinion, the letter
indicates they want Flat Pond to be in direct competition
with Seaside Village. " "I would recommend the Board forward
a letter to the Planning Board restating our conditional
