MINUTES May 12 , 1994 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> 7 . ) Possible wetlands violation - 35 Timberlane Drive - <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "This is an August emergency failure <br /> situation where the sewer was backing up onto the lawn. " <br /> "'Mr. Evans certified the system in failure and directed the <br /> installer to proceed immediately subsequently, the Board <br /> signed the emergency repair certification. " "Last week I was <br /> contacted for an inspection. " "At that time I noticed the <br /> proximity of the bank. " "I questioned the installer as to <br /> whether the Conservation Commission was notified. " "The in- <br /> staller stated he was unsure. " "I did inform the Conserva- <br /> tion Commission agent who inspected the site and informed the <br /> installer he had to file a notice of intent. " "We should <br /> have in retrospect notified the Conservation Commission ahead <br /> of time however, we did not. " "In my opinion the repair was <br /> more important than the paper work. " "I would recommend the <br /> Board direct the agent to forward a letter to the Conserva- <br /> tion Commission explaining the circumstances. " <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to forward a letter to the Conserva- <br /> tion Commission explaining the circumstances, Mr. Ball sec- <br /> onded. <br /> 8. ) Recycling grant flyer - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The grant <br /> is from D.E.P. through the Recycling Bottle Bill. " "The <br /> flyer explains the recycling program and will be printed and <br /> mailed at no charge to every homeowner in town. " <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> 9. ) Request for reconsideration - 25 Jonas Drive - Contin- <br /> ued until later in the meeting. <br /> 10. ) Pere extension Keauest lots 32 & 33 Gunters„Way - Mr. <br /> McQuaid relayed, "Mr. Nickulas does state in his request that <br /> the extension will be the last needed in the subdivision. " <br /> "I would recommend the Board extend the pert validity for six <br /> months from the date of the written request. " <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to grant two six month perc extensions <br /> for lots 32 & 33 Gunters Way from the date of the written re- <br /> quest, Mr. Cram seconded. <br /> 11 . ) D.P.H. alert re: Flea Markets - Mr. Evans recommended <br /> the Board forward a copy of the letter to the manager of Dick <br /> & Ellie's Flea Market. <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> 12 . ) M.H.O.A. Specialty Food Establishments Seminar, 5/24L94 <br /> Mr. McQuaid, Mr. Evans and Mr. Ball will attend the seminar. <br /> t this time 7:27 p.m. )_ Mr. Doherty joined the m etin . } <br />
