MINUTES May 12 , 1994 3 BOARD OF HEALTH
3. ) Mr. Ball motioned to accept the minutes of May 5, 1994 ,
Mr. Doherty seconded.
Mr. Bali motioned to accept the Executive Session min-
utes of May 5, 1994, Mr. Doherty seconded.
9. ) Request for reconsideration, 25 Jonas Drive lcontlnu„ed
from earlier in the meet' - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Last
week I presented this plan to the Board and indicated we
could extend the distance from the proposed well location and
leaching facility from 103' to 138' if the leaching facility
were moved within 10' of the bounds. " "The owner is request-
ing the Board's reconsideration in their previous denial for
variance relief and requests switching the proposed location
of the active to the proposed location of the reserve which
would increase the distance 10' rather than force it all the
way into the corner of the lot due to the topography of the
land and the vegetation. " "According to the owner the land
drops of steeply in the area I recommended however, plans do
not show that. " "If the Board does not reconsider their pre-
vious denial the owner did submit revised plans delineating
the placement of the leaching facility to within 10' of the
bounds. "
Mr. Ball motioned to deny the request for the Board's
reconsideration, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed.
Mr. Ball motioned to accept revised plans, (plan #A -927
dated May 4 , 1994 by ARO Engineering) and grant a 19, local
variance from the proposed on-site leaching facility to the
proposed on-site well, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed.
*****OLD BUSINESS*****
Lakeside trailer Park
Residents of Lakeside Trailer Park were in attendance.
Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Water tests results for iron indi-
cate out of nine samples four were found to be under the
M.G.L. 's. " "I did contact Jeff Rose from D.E.P. and ques-
tioned him as to whether the test results were significantly
higher then the M.C.L. 's to pursue further action. " "Mr.
Rose asked if I would fax a copy of the results to him which
I did today. " "Mr. Rose indicated that disparity between the
results being less then .1 at one trailer and 3 . 3 at another
trailer does not prove conclusively that there is a problem
in the distribution lines. " "Mr. Rose was going to review
the results with his superiors and get back to us with advice
as to how to proceed be it at a State level or local level. "
